There’s never been a day when we didn’t see something amazing. It takes a willing mind and good eyes. The pipe fish could easily be thrown out as a piece of sea grass. The seahorse looks exactly like green algae. So anticipate discovery and be ready to look hard.

Don’t forget about the sunblock

As for the other things you should bring, the standard island list applies. You need:

• Hat
• Wading shoes
• Bug repellent
• Towel

Some people like a change of clothes. Even in winter, it’s sunny down here. So if you don’t plan for anything else, plan on sun.  If you usually get chilly in a light wind, bring a coat. If you want to take home some shells or fossils, bring a plastic bag. Most of all, bring yourself.
